Rain or Snow, See it on Google Earth!

On Google Earth 5.2 They have the latest version Project. The images of rain, snow and weather patterns can now be seen on Google Earth that really was really happening!

You can see this feature if you enable the clouds layer and zoom it on the location that you want.

But currently this feature was available only in North America and Europe.

You can enable the Radar Layer to see it there are available data on the area that you want.

This new Feature of Google Earth was really cool! it is like a mini weather forecasting center in your Home.

Today there is a news that the 28 year old Singer, songwriter, dancer and actress Britney Spears died.

But don’t worry this is not true. this said rumor was started when she said to one of her interview that she want her body to be frozen after she dies.

“Britney Spears supposedly wants to be frozen after her death so that she could be brought back to life when technology is advanced enough to bring her back to life.”

Why I don’t have a blog post about Typhoon Ondoy/Ketsana ?

Last September 26, 2009 the  rain is very unusual that morning. As I drink my coffee I open our window in the second floor of our house to see the outside and I noticed that the water in Tanay River is slowly rising.

I quickly tell my parents about it and we quickly pack our things and put it on the higher place. we expect that the water will be rise below the knee but we are shocked to see that the water is rising fast and it was already above the knee! and the supply of electricity and water are already cut-off.

I put some hardwood and hallow-blocks to our door  to minimize the flow of water coming  from outside, but this is no match to the gigantic force of water. that time also we decide to move our Grandmother on a much safer place. we put our grandmother inside the Laundry Tub to keep her dry and that time the water in our home is almost 4ft high.

We carefully hold and move the Laundry Tub where our Grandmother seated until we reached our Auntie’s Home (A much higher and safer place for her. (We predict that the water can reached our second floor, thank God it doesn’t happen)

After it I took some pictures using my Digital Camera that time my laptop still have a battery and our wireless internet broadband connection still have a load. after I took some photos I quickly upload it to i-report of CNN and I personally email Marie Ramos (Weather news Anchor of CNN) telling my current situation and giving Her the rights to use my photos.

Here is my message sent to Marie Ramos.

“Hello, I am Mike Anthony Catuira, and i send my Ireport photos with short story today you can used them in cnn, Until now there was no electricity here, and I have only limited connection, I am Afraid you can’t contact me, thanks. sorry for the short story because we are busy here evacuating our important things.”
Her Reply:

After the September 26 Ondoy tragedy I can’t come to my work in Makati for 5 days because all the roads is not ready for public. countless landslides in Antipolo-Teresa Road blocked the road and the remaining road via Binangonan, Rizal is Jump-pack with vehicles going in and out of Rizal.

For 5 days we clean our House by removing mud. The streets in our barangay is not accessible by vehicles because it was also full of Mud the supply of electricity and water was also cut that period we are lucky because we have enough stock of food and water.

Monday (7 days after)

I check my Email in my work at Makati, Marie Ramos Email me.

“Hello Mike!

We’ve been thinking about you here at the CNN World Weather Center .

In the last email I received you said your home was getting flooded.

How are you and your family doing?

Write back when you can…and take care.”

I quickly reply her and I said that all are getting back to normal but it will take months before we can fully recover from the destruction leave by Typhoon Ketsana.

Instead of creating a blog post the time the typhoon hit us. I choose to tell the my story around the world by creating an i-report for CNN. Days after I forgot to write a blog post about it because I am busy in the office doing all the all pending Projects.

Here are the Images I sent to CNN.

I am amazed also because my personal experience was published around the world, they include my name on their headlines.

This is my unforgettable experience hundreads of people died in Our Town in Tanay, Rizal we are very thankful to God because we are not harm that day.

Now rainy season is days away I hope that Typhoon Ketsana will never happen again.

First Talakserye on TV : Face to Face

My Day/Night will not complete if I don’t watched Face to Face on TV5 I really enjoyed that show Every night, Yup every night because I can’t watched Face to Face at morning because I am at work. Every time I watched face to face it helps me to remove my stress.  And I would like to thank  TV5 for bringing Face to Face “Replay” on Primetime! Face to Face is Hosted by Amy Perez and together with the trio-tagapayo I learned a lot on the show from the Legal Advice, Physiological Advice and Spiritual Advice. Face to Face is one of my top choice and recommended TV shows to everybody.

2nd Round of Inter-Barangay Basketball League, 3rd Season of Hane Cup

I am invited once again by Hon. Kagawad Alvin Belarde to come with him in the 2^nd Round of Inter-Barangay Basketball League 3^rd Season of Hane Cup dito sa Tanay, Rizal.

May 22, 2010 around 7 pm nang dumating kami doon the Barangay Kat-Bayani Sports Center was already occupied by the large number of people waiting for the game to start.

It was too hot that night nakadagdag pa ang singaw ng mga tao lol

I decided to stand up nalang para Makita kong mabuti ang laro. Special thanks nga pala kay Kabayan (Hon. Alvin Belarde) dahil he greeted me (with a free advertise ng website ko) couple of times before before and during the Game.

For that night 2 barangay Clashes between Barangay Wawa and Barangay San Isidro. Barangay wawa fans on the Left side and and Barangay San Isidro fans on the right side, Nakalalamang  ang Barangay San Isidro that night.

While on the middle of the Game there are supporters who appeared near on the Basketball ring with sticks, coaches of San Isidro urgently call the attention of the committee para paalisin ang mga supporters sa harap with sticks dahil pwede daw ito makasugat daw ito sa mga players.

Napinsin ko rin ang isang Player ng Barangay San Isidro na aksidenteng may nadag-anan na audience sa kainitan ng laro, agad gumanti ng sapak ang  audience sa Player ng Barangay San Isidro na nakadag-an na nag resulta ng minor Injury sa Player.

Hindi maiwasan na madag-anan ang mga audience na malapit sa court dahil sa sobrang lapit nila. At first hindi naman nagkukulang ang committee sa papaalaala na iwasan ang pag upo malapit sa Basketball court.

That night nanalo ang  Barangay San Isidro laban sa Barangay Wawa ito ang  2^nd Round of Game between this 2 barangay at bukas May 23 ang final and 3^rd round dito magkakaalaman kung sino ang mananalo at magiging champion sa Inter-Barangay Basketball League, 3^rd Season of Hane Cup.

A Prayer request for a Worker of God

I am one of the member of the Primitive Baptist Church in Tanay, Rizal, Philippines, since March 2010 every Sunday we are not able to go to church, Instead we go to Our Pastor House in Baras, Rizal  and continue our church service in our Pastor House, because our Pastor, Pastor Melito Flores has been diagnosed Months ago with Connective Tissue Cancer or Spindle Cell Sarcoma on His left Knee and based on Wikipedia the life expectancy is less than  5 years from the date of detection of Tumor.

Pastor Melito Flores suffered a Connective Tissue Cancer or Spindle Cell Sarcoma on His left Knee.

Our Pastor told us that the Doctor in Orthopedic Hospital in Quezon City give an option to him to amputate His left leg to stop the spreading of the cancer on His Body, But Our Pastor refuses to accept this option even if there are donors willing to help on His operation, He said “ If God is willing to take me, I am not afraid to Die ” and He want to die with  His Body complete.
